The story of Luthien and Beren is definitely one of my favorite Silmarillion chapters. Luthien is so badass!! And Beren, well, he tries, even though it feels like he is falling unconscious all the  time, the poor man. But I'm still wondering how Luthien could fall in love with Beren  when they first met, he was basically with a strange, wild looking man who had been lost in the wild for month and who probably was smelling accordingly...
